Projected to be complete in 2028, UM Health Sparrow is building an ambulatory surgery center as part of its Lansing Campus.
The outpatient facility will house four operating rooms with the ability to expand later.
UM Health sparrow behavioral health
UM Health-Sparrow is building a behavioral health hospital with plans to open in 2028.
The behavioral health hospital will be located in a park-like setting and feature a contemporary, holistic and healing environment. With 64-beds, the $83 million state-of-the-art facility will serve adult, geriatric, and child and adolescent patients for the first time in the area.
NEW COMPANY HEADQUARTERS
Located in the heart of the Stadium District, 416 N Cedar St will become the location for a new company headquarters.

E-GAMING & RESTAURANT
On the corner of E Shiawassee and Cedar St a development for an E-Gaming and Restaurant is planned.

NEOGEN MANUFACTURING & RESEARCH FACILITY
A three-story 172,069 Sq Ft Campus Expansion featuring food and animal safety manufacturing and research operations. The expansion is projected to create 115 new jobs with a total investment of $207 million.
BRENKE FISH LADDER
Brenke Fish Ladder has undergone a $3.6 million renovation transforming Burchard Park. Featuring a new mini-amphitheater, a sound booth, a mural, and enhanced lighting, the renovation is part of a larger initiative to develop Lansing’s underutilized Grand River Front.
TURNER NORTH APARTMENTS
Construction begins in August 2026 on the 76 unit apartment building in Old Town. Located at the corner of Turner Road and Dodge River Drive, the project is aimed at workforce housing with income-based, sliding rents.
The Ingham building
The Ingham Building is a redevelopment of a five-story mixed-use building with retail commercial space and 25 residential apartments as part of The New Vision Lansing.
CAPITOL TOWER HOUSING
Capitol Tower Housing will be made up of 80 apartments ranging from Studio to Townhouses with a phase 2 planned for 7 additional townhomes.
WASHINGTON SQUARE APARTMENTS
100 South Washington Square is a 10 story, 58,712 square foot building that will be converted from commercial space to a mixed use development with both commercial and residential units.
OLD CITY HALL - HOTEL
The soon-to-be former city hall is converting into a 183-room hotel by Beitler Real Estate. The project will feature a rooftop lounge and ground-floor retail space.
MACOTTA CLUB
The Macotta Club will be a dining destination spotlighting the best of our community's up-and-coming culinary offerings. Located on the first floor of Downtown Lansing's historic Knapp's Building, The Macotta Club will offer six restaurant options and 16 different food concepts, including five food trucks and five food makers, along with a full-service bar.
new city rescue mission
The City Rescue Mission is wrapping up the development of their new, expanded, and renovated space that doubles capacity for serving single adults and families.
The project includes a new single adult shelter and out reach center, designed to accommodate 270-300 men, women, and children.
RIVERVIEW 220
A Lansing Housing Commission mixed-use project, Riverview 220 brings 63 two and three bedroom apartments to downtown Lansing.
Riverview 220 is anticipated to be complete in June 2026.
GRAND VISTA PLACE
Grand Vista Place is a new development by the Lansing Housing Commission, featuring 55 affordable apartments. Construction completion and resident move in is planned for mid-2026.
CATA ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING
The Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is expanding its downtown Lansing presence with a new administrative building.
The vision is for a new facility to house not only some CATA offices, primarily for customer-facing employees, but also provide a new area for public meetings, a resource center for customers, and potentially space for another community partner.

OVATION CENTER FOR MUSIC & ARTS
Ovation Center, Lansing’s first performing arts center, will be a transformative space for residents and visitors alike to enjoy and create art in Downtown Lansing, MI.
The Ovation Center will consist of a two-story main stage, with a large-scale capacity for more than 2,000 fans, and a second performance area for intimate performances like acoustic sets, comedy shows, and film screenings. Ovation will also offer community spaces and creative resources such as podcast studios, a full music recording studio, and creator suites. And on top of it all, a rooftop terrace and lounge will invigorate Downtown Lansing’s nightlife.
Scheduled to be complete in early 2027.
NEW LANSING CITY HALL
A $40 million, 65,000 square foot development scheduled to be complete end of 2026.
TOWER ON GRAND
Tower on Grand, which is part of the New Vision Lansing project, will be 28 stories and the tallest building in Lansing when it is completed. Projected completion in 2027
